WHAT'S NEW
July 9, 1999 - Nachi America increases tool life with its SG CNC Drill Series

Indianapolis, Ind., July 9, 1999 - Nachi America separates itself from cutting tool competitors with an exclusive, patented drill coating. The company's improved composite and multiple layered SG coating offers superior abrasive resistance. Tool life has been increased two to three times over traditional TiN coated drills.

Nachi's SG drill line includes jobber length SG-ES Drills and the new stub length SG-ESS Drills. Both drills are coated with composite multi-layer SG on premium powder HSS. These materials help Nachi's SG-coated drills achieve a superb rating of 3000 on the Vicker's scale of hardness.

One SG drill has three functions: drilling, center drilling and semi-reaming. The drill itself is highly efficient and material strength equals longer tool life. Center drilling is possible duet to precise positioning. The Semi-finish reaming is possible due to the stable drilling which results in a stable drilled diameter.

The SG drill line is suitable for all types of metal including cast iron and alloy steel. These high precision drills reduce runout, eccentricity of chisel edge and lip height error. Additionally, the reduced size of the shank diameter means endmills are accurately chucked by milling chuck or collet chuck on the machining center.

Nachi America, Inc. is an international manufacturer of cutting tools, bearings, hydraulics and robotics. The company recently received the Deming award, recognized worldwide as the standard for superior quality. Nachi cutting tools are available from leading distributors throughout North America.
